Fontana sets F2 practice pace

Alex Fontana set the pace in the opening Formula 2 free practice session at the Nurburgring. The Swiss driver's 1m47.676s lap was enough to keep him clear of a late improvement by teenage sensation Matheo Tuscher, who took second, 0.163 seconds down. Early-session pacesetters Markus Pommer and points leader Luciano Bacheta were pushed back to third and fourth by the end, as Kevin Mirocha and Parthiva Sureshwaren filled the top six.
