Franco Gasparotti: Soldier who became morbidly obese while suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder refused NHS surgery to remove excessive rolls of skin after losing 17 stone
Franco Gasparotti said he deserves the operation for serving his country. His weight ballooned to 17st after he was injured while on patrol in Northern Ireland.
